We are seeking a Child caregiver - private home in Oakville, Ontario. This is a full-time permanent position – 40 hours weekly. Work site is a non-smoking environment. Candidate will work in employer's/ client's home, but this is a live-out position. Responsibilities: • Take care of 2 children around 8 years old, and (including soon to be expecting mother), • Take children to and from school and to appointments; • Supervise and care for children; • Prepare and serve nutritious meals; • Organize, activities such as games and outings for children; • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; • Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children; • Bathe, dress and feed children; • Prepare all children for rest periods; • Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens; • Shop for food and household supplies; • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties; • Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents. Qualifications: • Must be fluent in English; • Must have First Aid Certificate; • Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years relevant experience; • Experience with special needs children – children with allergies; • Must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 LBs). Education: • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
